MEF Walk-A-Thon 2018

The Walk-A-Thon is MEF's last major fundraiser for the school year. It's a great opportunity to spend the day with our school community and cheer our kids on as they walk to benefit their own education. The fun keeps going with activity stations run by our PTA/Os and other providers. Hang out with your friends and family, lunch will be available to purchase for any hungry walkers (cash only please)!

Location

Taylor Middle School is located at 850 Taylor Boulevard in Millbrae.  Caroline Shea Center is located up on the hill, close to the soccer field.

Event Check-In

If you registered online and collected all your pledges online, head to the check-in table to collect your T-Shirt. If you have cash or check pledges, please register at the registration table first and drop off your collected pledges.

Food

Delicious food will be available for purchase, catered by the Millbrae School District.

Please note:  CASH ONLY for food purchases.

Attire

Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and clothing, along with sunglasses and a hat or other sun protection.  This is a rain or shine event! If you register your child online, they will be able to collect one (1) free Walk-A-Thon t-shirt when they check-in at the event.

Parking

There is limited parking so please walk or bike to the event.

Entertainment Schedule

We will have performances by our very own elementary and middle school bands, and a special chorus group.

We will have Informational health fair booths, science fair winner displays, photo booth, Child Safety Day booth, and more.

There will be fun activity stations, including hands-on experience with a 3-D printer, hula hoop hop, bean bag toss, plunger/ball and jump rope, cup stacking challenge, soccer goal activity, crafts, prizes and more!

Tips for Raising Money

Don't forget to ask everyone you meet to support you in your Walk-A-Thon.  Ask them for $10 or $20 - small amounts can make a difference!  It's not uncommon for people in your life such as grandparents, aunts and uncles, to be happy to chip in a small contribution to help your education! Contributions are tax-deductible as MEF is a registered 501(c)(3) organization.  See DoJiggy's Participant Fundraising Library for fundraising ideas and tips, sample letters, a detailed User Guide to the Participant Control Panel, and more!
